The Foundation is an independent Trust with Registered Charity status whose principle aim is advancing education in the field of valuation in a manner that has a public benefit.
This is a non-trustee co-opted voluntary position and allows Registered Valuers to join with the Board of Trustees and be involved in the full workings of the trust.
The successful candidate will be a New Zealand Registered Valuer, have less than 10 years’ experience, have an interest in valuation research and education and be appointed for a term of two years.

The VEIF is a trust formed as of June 2016 and incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 with registered number CC 53447, details of which can be viewed on Charities Services website.b
The Trust operates under a Trust Deed, with the principle aim of advancing education in the field of valuation in a manner that has a public benefit.
The Trustees are: Phillip Curnow (chairman), Gwendoline Callaghan, Tony Culav, Peter Loveridge, Terry Naylor and Aimee Martin.
This is a voluntary position. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing six trustees and be involved in all aspect of the trust, including: developing research topics, managing outputs, sourcing funding, handling administrative matters and attending meetings.
The position allows younger members of the valuation profession to join in the workings of the trust.

Most of the trusts business is agreed by consensus. Your input into the meetings is based on ‘equal status’ and your opinion sought including your informal vote on issues. However, the co-opted member is not able to formally vote.
The trustees meet physically for a day twice a year about March and September for which you may be required to travel, additionally early morning audio conference calls either monthly or two-monthly for about an hour. In addition to this your time input will be required for any projects you may be involved in.
